Navigating the holidays with trans kids 🦃❄️🎄

The holiday season is almost here! Lots of joy, lots of family, and lots of … challenges. How do you navigate this time of year with a transgender child?

Join me and therapist Kristen Berglund, MA, LPC (she/her) of B Well Counseling Center and KB Wellness for our FREE online workshop “Navigating the Holidays with Trans Kids” on Monday, November 3, at 6 PM PT/8 PM CT.

In this lively session, we’ll discuss how families of transgender, nonbinary, and gender-diverse kids can navigate the holiday season with less stress and more joy. (who doesn’t want THAT??)

We’ll touch on topics specific to our trans kids, and you’ll walk away with strategies and best practices to increase our mental health during the holiday season.

Kristen and I both have trans young adults, so we’ll be sharing info from both personal and professional perspectives!

This interactive workshop will be 1 hour and 30 minutes on Zoom. (Recording will be available for members of the Parents of Trans Youth online community only.)

It’s designed for parents and caregivers of transgender, nonbinary, and gender-diverse kids who are curious about how to support their child during the holiday season.

One parent recently said, "I learned to be me and have more acceptance for myself. I now surround myself with people who love me for me, and I don't have to edit myself." Boy howdy, can I relate to that! Once I...

Texas's bathroom bill (SB 8) went into effect yesterday. Yuck is an understatement. There is no reason why transgender people shouldn’t use the bathroom where they’re the most comfortable. They go to the bathroom for human biological imperatives, just like everyone else. It’s just not a big deal. (Plus the bill is just very poorly written. I just heard an ACLU lawyer call it "legal mumbo jumbo.") These kind of bills, laws, and policies obviously target transgender and gender nonconforming...
