Parent community applications open June 29đź’Ą

Reader, I talk to so many parents of trans kids who crave being in a space where you don’t have to explain everything about your kid.

Where folks understand what you’re going through and what your kid is going through.

And that’s other parents of trans kids. They just get it.

But those spaces can be really hard to find.

So we’ve made it easy for you!

The Parents of Trans Youth Community - PTYC - is a secure, online space for parents/caregivers who affirm and support their trans youth and young adults.

Our founding members are finding real, authentic connections with other parents through live events, discussion forums, and resource sharing.

The next application window is June 29-July 5 for a limited number of people, and scholarships are available.

Heads up - I’ll email you an extra time or two to remind you about the application window. If PTYC isn't a fit for you, please pass on the info to someone who could use the comfort of community.

Click the button below to read alllll about PTYC! And feel free to reply to this email if you've got questions.

During the Vietnam War, life-long pacifist A.J. Muste stood in front of the White House night after night, for years, holding a lighted candle. He was in his eighties. Sometimes others joined him. Sometimes he stood alone. A reporter interviewed him one evening as he stood there in the rain. “Mr. Muste,” the reporter said, “do you really think you are going to change the policies of this country by standing out here alone at night with a candle?” Muste replied, “Oh, I don’t do this to change...

Reader, you've probably heard that several clinics across the country have announced that they will no longer be offering gender-affirming care to youth under the age of 19, in response to President Trump’s Executive Order threatening federal funding for clinics who offer gender-affirming care to youth. These closures are a devastating loss to the families of transgender youth who rely on this lifesaving healthcare, especially given that gender-affirming care is already banned or restricted...

Texans! The bathroom bill will be heard AGAIN on Friday (August 22) - this time in the House State Affairs committee.
